Low-field Portable MRI, AI, and How They Would Change the Future Healthcare
Abstract:
You may wonder how soon an MRI scan can be done at your convenience rather than bearing with long waiting time now. Portable and dedicated MRI search and development has been an active research area, and recently being actively commercialized. This talk will detail the recent progress on the development of low-field portable MRI, both research and commercialization, and the role of AI in this domain. The impacts of portable MRI to future healthcare will be discussed.
Biography:
Shaoying HUANG is the founder of BioMed-EM Lab since 2014. She is an associate professor in Singapore University of Technology and Design. She holds a Ph.D., MS, and BE degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She is pioneering the innovations and open-source efforts for portable MRI. She successfully organized the first MRI hackathon, ezyMRI NerdFest, in Asia.
